I’m A Radio Transmitter?

Array

So what do you do when you die? If you are struggling for abundance it is your own mind blocking you from receiving it from the universe. There is plenty for everyone because we all want different things in this life. Nothing dies. We just change into another form of energy. What you give you get to keep. The more you skimp the less you have. You must keep abundance flowing. The universe likes speed. The divinity wants us to be abundant. If your religion expects you to have peace and be poor this is not abundance.

If you worry about never having enough guess what? You will never have enough because your subconscious has been trained to focus on never having enough. If you think life is a hardship and struggle guess what? Life is a hardship and struggle. What you think about you bring about.

Take responsibility for your world. Time is an illusion. Nobody sees the world as you do. You might say, this is nuts.

Like attracts like. This is an irrefutable law of the universe and has been for centuries. So the next time you say I can’t afford that, you are absolutely right.

So enjoy your challenges and abundance that comes to you every second of everyday because when you move on from this world you will no longer have the thrill of experiencing this day this moment or this second ever again.

You can always make more money but you can never ever make more time.

The next time you want something material in this world put it out to the universe and feel yourself already having it. The emotion you feel will line up the universe to give it to you. Emotion is important because when you feel that you already own it your thoughts are transmitted like a radio tower. The intuitive thought will come, take action on the thought and voila!!

Oh you don’t think we aren’t the strongest radio transmitter ever. Do you see the radio waves when you turn on your car stereo? We are transmitters stronger than anything man has ever created. We transmit our thoughts just like a radio transmits the music and commercials through thin air.

Is this too difficult to believe? I don’t think so. Do You?

10 ways to start taking control of your life

“Who’s the Boss?” 10 ways to start taking control

At first glance, it would seem that positive thinking and Post-Traumatic Stress disorder (PTSD) have nothing to do with one another. But many of us with PTSD develop negative thinking patterns because we become frustrated by our challenges and frequent feelings of being overwhelmed. This negative outlook then makes it even harder for us to manage those challenges and move forward.

Practicing positive thinking allows people with PTSD to focus on our strengths and accomplishments, which increases happiness and motivation. This, in turn, allows us to spend more time making progress, and less time feeling down and stuck. The following tips provide practical suggestions that you can use to help you shift into more positive thinking patterns:

1. Take Good Care of Yourself
It’s much easier to be positive when you are eating well, exercising, and getting enough rest.

2. Remind Yourself of the Things You Are Grateful For
Stresses and challenges don’t seem quite as bad when you are constantly reminding yourself of the things that are right in life. Taking just 60 seconds a day to stop and appreciate the good things will make a huge difference.

3. Look for the Proof Instead of Making Assumptions
A fear of not being liked or accepted sometimes leads us to assume that we know what others are thinking, but our fears are usually not reality. If you have a fear that a friend or family member’s bad mood is due to something you did, or that your co-workers are secretly gossiping about you when you turn your back, speak up and ask them. Don’t waste time worrying that you did something wrong unless you have proof that there is something to worry about.

4. Refrain from Using Absolutes
Have you ever told a partner “You’re ALWAYS late!” or complained to a friend “You NEVER call me!”? Thinking and speaking in absolutes like ‘always’ and ‘never’ makes the situation seem worse than it is, and programs your brain into believing that certain people are incapable of delivering.

5. Detach From Negative Thoughts
Your thoughts can’t hold any power over you if you don’t judge them. If you notice yourself having a negative thought, detach from it, witness it, and don’t follow it. (I silently say the word “cancel”)

6. Squash the “ANTs”
In his book “Change Your Brain, Change Your Life,” Dr. Daniel Amen talks about “ANTs” – Automatic Negative Thoughts. These are the bad thoughts that are usually reactionary, like “Those people are laughing, they must be talking about me,” or “The boss wants to see me? It must be bad!” When you notice these thoughts, realize that they are nothing more than ANTs and squash them!

7. Practice Lovin’, Touchin’ & Squeezin’ (Your Friends and Family)
You don’t have to be an expert to know the benefits of a good hug. Positive physical contact with friends, loved ones, and even pets, is an instant pick-me-up. One research study on this subject had a waitress touch some of her customers on the arm as she handed them their checks. She received higher tips from these customers than from the ones she didn’t touch!

8. Increase Your Social Activity
By increasing social activity, you decrease loneliness. Surround yourself with healthy, happy people, and their positive energy will affect you in a positive way!

9. Volunteer for an Organization, or Help another Person
Everyone feels good after helping. You can volunteer your time, your money, or your resources. The more positive energy you put out into the world, the more you will receive in return.

10. Use Pattern Interrupts to Combat Rumination
If you find yourself ruminating (spinning your wheels), a great way to stop it is to interrupt the pattern and force yourself to do something completely different. Rumination is like hyper-focus on something negative. It’s never productive, because it’s not rational or solution-oriented, it’s just excessive worry. Try changing your physical environment – go for a walk or sit outside. You could also call a friend, pick up a book, or turn on some music. Motion creates emotion, act your way into “right” thinking.

The Secret Behind Subliminal Messages

180x150_02

What makes subliminal messages so effective? The secret behind them is a fact that advertisers have known for decades; the more people are exposed to something, the easier it is to influence them.

Suppose, for example, that you want to give up smoking. You know it’s bad for your health, it’s expensive, and it’s becoming more and more anti-social. You have the desire to give up, for all the right reasons, but just can’t seem to take it to that final stage.

Believe it or not, your conscious mind is getting in the way. No matter what you really think, you don’t have the ability to put it into practice in the regular course of events. Your day is busy, you’ve got lots of other things on your mind, and you haven’t given the idea of quitting smoking enough priority.

The Subliminal Advantage

Subliminal messages are positive affirmations presented to your ears or eyes at a rate or volume that your conscious mind is unable to detect. Your subconscious mind, however, takes in everything. These messages bypass your logical conscious state and go directly to your subconscious. If messages are sent frequently enough they’ll start to change the way you think, and therefore the way you behave.

Someone who wants to give up smoking might be presented with subliminal messages similar to these:

• I am stronger than cigarettes
• I respect and nurture my body
• I am able to resist the temptation of smoking

Reading these three short affirmations on a page won’t produce any magical results within your subconscious mind. But imagine the impact if, instead of three messages, your subconscious was exposed to thousands – over and over again – for a couple of weeks. All the research shows the same thing: gradually your attitude changes, and then your behavior.

How Subliminal Messages Work

Some people argue that, if you can’t hear the sounds, or you can’t see the images, how can they possibly make any difference? The point is that you aren’t aware that you’re hearing or seeing the messages, but your subconscious mind still takes them in. That’s the reason why subliminal messages work in the first place – because they sneak into your head, bypassing your conscious rational mind, and getting at the core of your belief system.

You’re exposed to subliminal messages every day. You might have the radio on in the morning when you drive to work and keep hearing about a new film that’s just come out. The first time you hear it you give it your attention. As the days turn into weeks you’re no longer consciously listening to it, but the information flows into your subconscious mind. If it’s a film that interests you, this constant subtle reminder will probably be enough to get you to go to the cinema and watch it.

Now think how powerful that process would be if it was something you desperately wanted to achieve, like giving up smoking. Your determination combined with the mind-changing power of those positive affirmations makes a winning formula. Eventually you’ll think of smoking as a disgusting, destructive habit that you can’t believe you started in the first place.

If you really and truly want to make lasting changes in your behavior but can’t seem to find the impetus to get going, try subliminal messages. You’ve got nothing to lose and the chance to gain a new and more rewarding lifestyle.

Is it possible to hypnotize a person without them knowing?

Covert Hypnosis

One of the most common questions that I’m asked is…

“Can you hypnotize a person to do something without them knowing?”

Well, the short answer to this is YES. But it’s a little different to ‘normal’ hypnosis.

During normal hypnosis you hypnotize the person first, then you give them suggestions. The induction is very obvious and the person definitely knows what you’re doing.

With ‘Covert’ Hypnosis it’s a little different…

When you use covert hypnosis you don’t need to hypnotize the person, because you use sneaky language patterns that bypass the conscious mind and go directly into your unconscious, where they are readily accepted and followed.

You can use these sneaky language patterns in a completely normal conversation to make a person do what you want… Such as giving you a free upgrade to first class, or a huge discount on your bill. Here are a few examples:  Also go to www.blackopshypnosis.net

Walking The Extra Miles, For You

Freedom09

How deep and meaningful a connection you would like to forge with another person is more often than not, entirely up to us. That is, how far are you willing to walk for others? For absolutely nothing in return? Because that is the basis of all deep meaningful connections.

It is the spark of the start of a real friendship and a long-lasting relationship, when someone does something for you entirely out of goodwill and kindness within their hearts.

Recently, with all my ongoing new projects and campaigns, it really made me carry a deep sense of appreciation and gratitude for the people around me that is involved one way or another, with them extending their help and expertise in more ways than one.

Learning how to walk the extra miles in whatever we do whether it is for ourselves or others, trains us to perform better in our daily activities. We go into it fully and we engage. Just like our muscles which requires you to use them often in order to grow strong, build strength and stamina. The extra miles are the same.

If you are used to doing things with an attitude of reluctance and resentment there will be no real substance or concrete evidence of your footprints left on anything you touch. Go all the way out above and beyond or don’t lift a finger at all.

How would you like to get to the end of the road, turn back and not see an imprint of the steps you have taken in this journey? You don’t recall where you’ve been, what you’ve done or the fluttering moments that took your breath away and made your heart skipped a beat.

If every step you took that touched someone’s heart one way or another left a foot print on your path for you to rewind and go through each steps again when you depart this earth to take with you, allowing you to watch it replay on a screen, would you be willing to leave a couple more?

I will never forget Gerald Way’s words I came across a very long time ago when I was younger and it made me sit up and reflect on my own life choices and journey. He said, “One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it’s worth watching.”

I must say, I was really blessed to start out from humble beginnings to be able to have so much contrasts in my life experience, that allowed me to have the opportunity to see it from two different ends of the stick.

It made me learn appreciation so much more, when I stop looking at all the things I didn’t have. The more things I appreciate around me, the more I have.

I grew up believing that it was circumstances that made us who we are and it took me awhile to learn that it’s not the case at all.

We all have a choice. A choice to become who we were meant to become against all odds and share our gifts to anyone who comes in contact with our work, our services, our real human flesh blood and skin self.

The journey may not be a short one to get there, but it is a process that we all must go through in order to know what we want. How would you know what you want, if you don’t know what you do NOT want?

Only old habits & beliefs that are not self-serving you in the best way is the worst way and the only way that is leading you right up to a brick wall where on the other side, it is an “unknown” to you.

You can’t see it so you fear it and you keep taking steps backwards instead of finding that sledgehammer and start to work on breaking it off bit by bit everyday. Small consistent effort really counts. If you stay true to our heart’s desires and firmly stick to it through and through, you will be happy no matter the outcome.

Because you would have fallen in love and stayed in love, throughout the process and it wouldn’t even matter what happens at the very end. Whatever you do for yourself, whether it is a fitness routine choice, a diet meal plan, budgeting and expenditure methods, sift through the options and try them all and find one that is truly customized to your liking and pleasing to you and YOU feel good doing it.

It is the only way that you can start to learn to give it your hundred percent undivided attention and have the excess wealth of knowledge or joy to share with people you meet, people you love most. That is the true value of the extra miles.

You can’t do much for others if you don’t make sure you have enough for yourself. How do you expect to run an extra 10 miles if the sole of your shoes wears and tears? You either spend the money to buy a new pair you love, or take good care of them so they are in good condition to last you a longer run over a longer period of time.

Either way, you got to do something about it to ensure the rest of your path is easier for you.Be solution-oriented. Going the extra miles comes easy when you have practiced and built up your stamina to ensure you have packed enough fuel and energy to sustain your journey. Everything comes down to practice.

The only thing you need to practice in life to master anything you care about and want to learn badly is the skill of focus; your ability to concentrate, the ability to not take everything so seriously (especially yourself) and of course that ties in closely with knowing how to have fun in the process to create enjoyment and happiness for you.

Give yourself the space you need while doing these and you will find freedom emotionally. You’ll be able to touch people one way or another everywhere you go and will leave a part of you with them.

Kindness goes a very long way, it is priceless.

My Review of Nitrofocus: “Get More Done in Less Time… With an MP3?”

Nitrofocus Introduction from Inspire3 on Vimeo

www.nitrofocus.net

Sharper focus. Enhanced concentration. Greater productivity. Getting into “The Zone.” More motivation.

In the 2011 film ‘Limitless’, Bradley Cooper simply popped a tiny pill, and suddenly the whole of his brain power activated. All of those traits suddenly flickered into play.

He was able to blast through work, quickly and intelligently. He could study more and better than ever before. He finished chores at lightening speed. He could come up with ideas and predictions at the speed of thought.

‘Limitless’ was a great film — and a brilliant fantasy for the rest of us.

But, what if all those benefits were actually available — right now?

And not using pills, but by using a simple little ‘brain hack’ that involves nothing more than an MP3 file?

That’s the claim of a new program called Nitrofocus. Intrigued, I decided to try it out for myself.

The Power of Brainwave Science

Nitrofocus is a new MP3 audio program. It uses special ‘brainwave’ tones to help increase focus levels, and bring about those ‘Limitless’-style benefits.

Now, all this talk of brainwaves initially sounds quite complex. But it works pretty simply.

The Nitrofocus MP3 audio contains frequency patterns, which match the brains natural ‘focus’ frequencies. All of these frequency tones are cleverly embedded inside audio tracks.

When you play the MP3s, and your brain hears them, it naturally copies them – thereby bringing about a natural state of sharp focus and concentration.

This is a scientifically-proven process known as “brainwave entrainment.”

Researched for over 100 years, brainwave entrainment has been used to help reduce pain levels, increase mood, help patients overcome insomnia, lower stress levels, and so much more. The more I learned, the more I was fascinated by the applications. And for over 40 years, commercial applications of brainwave entrainment have been available to the public – and at the cutting edge of this research was Nitrofocus.

I was hooked. I had to find out more. So I decided to try it out for myself.

My First Listening Experience with Nitrofocus

The basic Nitrofocus experience is available as a free 7-day trial.

Once you start, you’re immediately sent one of the main Nitrofocus sessions — the 1-hour “Nitrofocus Classic” MP3 — alongside a couple of other bonuses.

(By the way, this trial literally didn’t cost a penny. If I wanted to upgrade to a VIP customer later on, they would unlock further sessions. But the trial was completely free regardless, and you can even keep the existing Nitrofocus sessions should you decided to cancel.)

The Nitrofocus MP3 instructions are simple: just listen while you work. It sounded like something from a Disney movie.

So, the very next day, I gave it a go. I had to write a few articles for one of the websites I’m involved in. To help me out, I decided to play the Nitrofocus MP3 in the background while I worked. It’d be a great opportunity to trial the program.

I hit ‘play’. The Nitrofocus Classic sounds begin.

Initially, it all sounded rather strange. A series of very soft, rapid tones, all over a bed of gentle ocean-like static. I slip on a pair of headphones (optional) and begin my work.

Suddenly, it’s lunchtime.

And I’d not just completed one article. Rather, I’d completed a huge six articles, many of which I’d been putting off for weeks. I’d also completely cleared my inbox, and sat there wondering what to do next. I’d already finished the next 2-3 days work, with effortlessly and with zero stress and resistance.

At first, I didn’t credit it to Nitrofocus. I put it down to one of those “good runs” that writers sometimes (although rarely!) get.

I left my office early, and decided to spend time with my family the rest of the day, instead of indulging in even more work. I actually feel reluctant in taking off the headphones. The sounds are so immersive, like a cuddly comfort blanket, I feel I just want to leave it playing.

Encouraged, I decide to take my experimenting to the next level.

Blasting Through Messages, Chores and Reading

Over the next few days, I decided to continue using Nitrofocus, and measure the difference it made to my day.

I listened regularly to this simple 1-hour Nitrofocus MP3, all while doing any task that I needed to get in ‘The Zone’ with. And it started making a huge difference in my life.

I began blasting through my work quicker than ever before. I blitzed through my inbox, my writing, my project planning, my creative work, and so much more. Suddenly things just became easier. I listened while doing house chores. I got through them in minutes, and time just fly by, when it would’ve otherwise been a real drag. I used it when reading, and managed to get through around three business books within a single hour.

The motto of Nitrofocus is “Get more done, in less time” — and, at least in my experience, the statement was really holding true.

Just in case you were wondering, the Nitrofocus MP3 can be played on loop while you work. You can use it with or without headphones. And it includes special “white noise” sounds to help block out background distractions that may be sucking away at your focus levels.

Within the first week of listening, it’s fair to say that Nitrofocus doubled — perhaps even tripled — my productivity, all without any of the downsides usually associated with overworking. I experienced zero stress. To the contrary, I felt happy, breezy, refreshed and content.

Then, my account got unlocked…

Exploring the Full Nitrofocus VIP Program

I decided to continue beyond my 7-day free trial.

The friendly people behind the site sent me a few emails regarding this process, and upgraded my account to a Nitrofocus VIP account. The total cost was $97.

That’s when the full program suddenly becomes available to you. And then WOW. I was impressed. This was where all the real value existed.

The full Nitrofocus program contains 5 main Nitrofocus MP3 sessions, each lasting 1 full hour. These are Nitrofocus Classic, Nitrofocus Digital, Nitrofocus Easy, Nitrofocus Workout and Nitrofocus Ocean.

You use all of them just like the original Nitrofocus Classic MP3, however they each have their own different styles, so you can choose the one which most matches your mood.

For example, Nitrofocus Workout I found to be just brilliant for using at the gym, or when doing household chores. It was a high-energy Ibiza-style workout mix that just had me pumping. And Nitrofocus Ocean was a more relaxing session, which I tended to use more when writing in the evenings.

They all do the same task of sharpening your focus and rocketing your productivity — but each have their own unique style to match how you feel in that moment. Just choose the one you want to listen to!

The full Nitrofocus program also contains a 50-page user guide, and 7 supporting ‘brainwave’ MP3s.

These are: the 5-Minute Break MP3, the 10-Minute Break MP3, the Brain Booster MP3, the Focus Gym MP3, the Memory Commit MP3, the Analytical Builder MP3, and the Anxiety Reducer MP3.

These sessions are all intended to support your use with the main Nitrofocus program. The 10-Minute Break MP3, for example, I found incredibly relaxing, and it made for a nice break between those super-productive hours of using the main Nitrofocus MP3s. Memory Commit helped me commit a full speech I was working on to memory, and Anxiety Reducer helped me to calm down just before delivering it.

When I first heard of Nitrofocus, I had thought it was just a simple, single MP3. I was wrong. Nitrofocus is an entire brainwave MP3 package, designed to help seriously improve your life — all much more comprehensively than I had ever imagined.

It also comes with extremely friendly lifetime support, and membership to a highly active forum, where you can share tips and stories with thousands of other users.

Conclusion

I’m normally quite the skeptic.

Yes, I knew that brainwave entrainment had been scientifically-proven for over 100 years. Yes, I understood how it should theoretically work. Yes, I fell in love with the drama of the marketing.

But I didn’t realize what a genuinely powerful and real-world immediate affect it would have on me. All within minutes, and all just by listening to a simple MP3.

The results using Nitrofocus have just gotten better and better over the past month, and it’s fair to call me a total convert.

I earned back the cost of this powerful program within the first hour of it increasing my productivity.

I genuinely now see it as a no-brainer, and I’ve already recommended it to several of my closest friends. From housewives to executives, and everyone in-between: if you want to get more done in less time, then the Nitrofocus program is absolutely for you.

It’s “Limitless” — but without the risk of taking a pill.

Just hit play, and watch your life change. It literally couldn’t be easier.

My recommendation: Buy it!

PS. I wrote this review in exactly 12 minutes 🙂

Pros – Rapid results. Sharpens focus like nothing else. And it really works!
Cons – Download only (no audio CD version). No telephone support.

PTSD Treatment for Combat Veterans by Colin Harrison

2eea8-remembrance-1

PTSD is a major problem for veterans today and is going to become a bigger problem over time. That’ s not speculation it’ s a fact, based on the enormous number of troops that have been in combat in recent years.

In fact , more than 2 . 0 million American and coalition troops have served in military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2003, with thousands deployed multiple times. Recent surveys found that 20% of soldiers who served in Afghanistan now suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or major depression.

However , alarming these figures may be, it’ s comforting to know that diagnosis for PTSD is getting better and numerous treatments are available. So what treatments are available for suffers of PTSD?

Medication

One of the most common symptoms of PTSD is difficulty sleeping, which can be a major problem and have a disruptive effect on one’ s ability to concentrate and focus. A drug called Prazosin is often prescribed for nightmares and has been used for a long time in the treament of hypertension.

Anxiety and depression is another common issue and many drugs are available to treat this symptom. The one thing to consider with any medication is that side-effects are often associated with their use and dependency can also become an issue. Working closely with your doctor should help you find the right medications and manage any side-effects that are experienced. Ideally, medication will help out in the short-term and provide a route into more sustainable and natural treatments.

Psychotherapy

A number of forms of therapy are available for suffers of PTSD, and whilst in the past many people have been reticent to consider ‘ seeing a shrink’, therapy is one of the most effective ways to tackle the condition.

It’ s possible to enter into a one-on-one or a group therapy programme. Group therapy has benefited many people facing challenging mental or physical situations and the power of connecting with people who have been through similar experiences should not be underestimated.

Some types of therapy used in PTSD treatment include:

Cognitive therapy. Talking about self-destructive thoughts and what causes this can help you develop strategies to change these notions.

Exposure therapy. This is a behavioral therapy technique to help you face up to the things that you find upsetting so you can learn to deal with it.

Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). This seems like an unusual approach, but combining Exposure Therapy with a programme of guided eye movements can help sufferers deal with traumatic memories. This is because there is a strong connection between eye movement and the function of the memory.

A combination of these approaches will likely be the best route, and working with your healthcare professional should allow you to find the best approach for you. Just remember that there’ s no need to deal with the symptoms of PTSD on your own and effective treatment can have a massive difference on the quality of your life.

What are the signs of PTSD?

a95ae-detail_773303

What are the signs of PTSD?

“Driving down the roads in my home town, I found myself noticing every piece of debris, avoiding every pothole.”

A wide variety of symptoms may be signs you are experiencing PTSD:

“When stress brought on flashbacks, I dealt with them by drinking them away. I considered it recreational drinking, but really I was self-medicating.”

It’s not just the symptoms of PTSD but also how you may react to them that can disrupt your life. You may:

What is the treatment for PTSD?

If you have PTSD, it doesn’t mean you just have to live with it. In recent years, researchers from around the world have dramatically increased our understanding of what causes PTSD and how to treat it. Hundreds of thousands of Veterans have gotten treatment for PTSD—and treatment works.

“In therapy I learned how to respond differently to the thoughts that used to get stuck in my head.”

Two types of treatment have been shown to be effective for treating PTSD: counseling and medication. Professional counseling can help you understand your thoughts and discover ways to cope with your feelings. Medications, called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, are used to help you feel less worried or sad.
In just a few months, these treatments can produce positive and meaningful changes in symptoms and quality of life. They can help you understand and change how you think about your trauma—and change how you react to stressful memories.
You may need to work with your doctor or counselor and try different types of treatment before finding the one that’s best for dealing with your PTSD symptoms.

Music’s Healing Power — The Perfect Therapy

girl-with-headphones-subliminals

Music’s Healing Power — The Perfect Therapy

You’re about to be wheeled in for surgery. You’re very nervous, and nothing anyone says is going to make you feel better. Finally, someone turns on some incredibly soothing music. You finally feel the peace wash over you and you know everything is going to be okay. Is it just a feeling, or does music actually have any
influence over your health?

The evidence is stacked up strongly in favor of music’s healing
power!
A positive link has been found for those suffering from things like autism, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Tourette’s.

Why Does Music Have a Healing Effect?

There are neuroscientists who are working to discover exactly why music
has healing powers
. After all, it’s pretty amazing that it can stimulate certain areas of the brain, speed healing, and decrease anxiety and increase optimism.

There are different components to music that can have an effect. Pitch, harmony, frequency, melody, and rhythm all effect the brain in different ways. We know that some of the brain locations are involved in helping to heal and soothe the body as well.

The brain can be taught and stimulated to perform better — and it seems that music is the
perfect vehicle to do that.

Musical Therapy

There are around 5,000 registered musical therapists in the United States. Their services are used to soothe people, stimulate recovery, and more. As we now know from scientific evidence, music has an actual physical effect on the body as well.

What Can Music Heal?

Music can be beneficial in just about every circumstance. However, scientists are looking into some specific uses where it has been found to be particularly effective.

Those who have had strokes often have trouble with their speech. It’s thought that the act of
singing or chanting can increase their fluency! It also has a strong effect on optimism and a positive outcome in
recovery overall.

In fact, the same effect has been seen with those who stutter. Music and singing can completely take the stutter away for a time. This is a great relief and a definite boost for someone who is tired of stuttering.

Parkinson’s disease affects movement. The rhythm of music can be a great help because it can stimulate the brain to allow more movement. It can help a person with Parkinson’s disease to move smoothly and vibrantly!

Memory is one of the biggest areas of study for music’s healing power. Research in the area of Alzheimer’s disease has been particularly promising. While it doesn’t take away or lessen the disease, it can help to stimulate memories for the patient.

It’s apparent that music has a special place in both our hearts and our minds, since even those who have nearly completely lost touch with reality can recognize and sing songs they have loved throughout their life.

Music has also been tested to be an amazing de-stressor. You’ve probably seen its effects yourself! You can come home and pop in your favorite CD at the end of the day and the worries that troubled you during the work hours instantly melt away.

The Science Behind Music’s Healing Power

However, there is science behind this and its healing power. Dr. Mike Miller of the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, set out to study this.

He used high-tech imaging to measure blood vessel size while listening to music. What he found was that the lining of the blood vessel relaxed and opened up. It also produced chemicals that help protect the heart.

There is a catch here. It has to be music the person enjoys! If they do not, the vessels close up. This is a stress response — the opposite of what we want.

Music can heal indirectly as well. You see, stress can have terrible effects on the body and mind long term. It can cause the blood vessels to become rigid, which does not allow the blood to flow freely. Arteries can harden as well. Blood pressure can rise overall. All of this is a recipe for heart attack and stroke!

Stress has a negative effect on the immune system as well. People who are stressed tend to get sick far more often. Those who are stressed often experience fertility and performance issues. Stress can even lead to anxiety and depression. It’s an all-around bad mixture for the body!

That’s why we see such positive effects from calm music. Music can make you feel great! When your mood improves, the stress gets chased away. It follows, then, that listening to music consistently can improve your health because it eliminates the factor of stress and its effects on the body and mind.

Hospitals Recognize Music’s Healing Power

Many hospitals and doctors are starting to recognize the wonderful healing effect music can have. They know that it can reduce stress and anxiety. It can help improve the recovery period — and it’s incredibly cost effective.

You can try this as well! There are so many ways you can integrate music into your daily life. Whether you have a condition you feel could be helped by music or not, music can positively affect your mood and overall health.

Researchers do note that you should change up the music you listen to. That way, it is kept fresh and alive, and the effects remain strong. You are now in a great position because you know that music can be so beneficial. If you should ever need surgery or to overcome an illness, you’ll be well aware of the amazing
benefits music can hold for you.

It’s a great thing that music’s healing power is not only being studied, but utilized. We’ve used music to heal since the beginning of time — it’s part of who we are. We will come to learn much, much more as scientists dedicate their time to this important area of study. Even more important, however, is that you make
music therapy a part of your everyday life.

Share it with those you love! If you know someone who is stressed or healing, the chances are high they could use some healing power. The possibilities are truly endless when it comes to the wonderful effects music can have on your body.

Subliminal Messages: How Do They Work?

Post 5

You’ve probably heard of subliminal messages. There are lots of urban myths about how companies and advertisers use these kinds of messages to persuade customers to act in certain ways. The truth is, however, that subliminal messages won’t make you do or feel anything you’re not already inclined to do or feel. And, ironically, that’s what makes them such effective and powerful self-development tools.

The word “subliminal” is made up of two parts: sub, which means under or below (as in submarine) and liminal, which means threshold (as in the word limit). These kinds of messages are therefore presented “below the threshold” of your conscious mind. So even though you aren’t aware of the information, your subconscious mind picks it up and locks it away in your brain.

You Can Literally Change Your Mind

Here’s the thing – your subconscious mind is where the real power lies. Everything you think and believe is stored away in there. If you want to make real changes in your life, you have to be able to make changes at the subconscious level.

Imagine your subconscious mind is like a robot you’ve built. The first thing you do is program it to work in a certain way. Unlike any sci-fi movies you may have seen, this robot is incapable of doing anything it hasn’t been programmed to do.

Your subconscious mind works just like that. Over the years you’ve been “programmed” by the things you’ve seen, the things you’ve heard, and the things you’ve done. Your thoughts and beliefs are embedded in there, and they get fed out to your conscious mind, making you think you’re deciding all this stuff consciously… but you’re not.

That’s why so many people find it hard to quit smoking using their willpower alone, or to find the motivation to exercise more, or to lose weight. It’s almost impossible to make any real changes that have a significant impact on your waking or conscious life, unless you first make those changes at a subconscious level.

Sublimely Effective

With subliminal technology, your subconscious mind gets bombarded with positive messages that can literally change the way you think. They bypass the conscious mind completely, below the threshold, so that this logical mind doesn’t get in the way. The more your subconscious mind is exposed to these new ideas, the easier it is for you to alter your behavior, and that gives you the chance to change your programming from the inside out.

Subliminal messages are presented in the form of audio or visual stimuli – background sounds or flashing images – that you aren’t even aware of. They sneak into your subconscious mind and start working to change your attitudes, making it easy to break bad habits and develop new, positive ones, and giving you that extra push you need to take your life in a whole new direction.

You might have enormous willpower and determination, but on their own they simply aren’t enough. That’s why so many people give up on their New Year’s resolutions after a month or two… because deep down they haven’t actually changed anything. To do that, you need to get at your subconscious mind and input the new programming that will help you change your beliefs – and ultimately allow you to reach your goal.
